How to Volunteer
  • We are thrilled to hear that you are interested in volunteering for the Lubbock Area Affiliate!  Volunteers are an integral part of our organization’s success.  The countless hours donated by our many volunteers have been a key factor in making us the leader in the breast cancer movement.  By volunteering with us, you can be a part of this success!

The Lubbock Area Affiliate is always seeking dedicated and passionate volunteers willing to donate an hour or more to this great cause.
Together we can make a difference.

Here’s how you can become a Komen volunteer at Race for the Cure:

    1. Determine your area of interest
    2. Determine if you will be volunteering alone or with a group
    3. Determine your availability
    4. Visit the "Volunteer Today" page (click here) and click on the job for which you would like to volunteer
    5. Wait for your confirmation email from us!

It’s really that easy!  Based on our interests and availability, we will pair you with the most appropriate job or committee.
Training is available and will be mandatory in some situations.  (For example, Race day activities, education committee, health fair, etc.)
New training dates will be available soon.  Email us to get added to a training waiting list.

Other volunteer oppertunities include: Health Fairs, Speaker's Bureau, Komen events and Office Volunteers. Training is mandatory for volunteers. If you would like to volunteer for the Lubbock Affiliate at other Komen events, please email Allison Lewis at Allison@komenlubbock.org.
