In 2008, Susan G. Komen for the Cure developed a compelling educational initiative called I AM THE CURE. ^® The program focuses on empowering people with the knowledge that early detection truly makes a difference. More importantly, it motivates people to take an active role in their own breast health. These words, and the simple steps that lead to early detection, will come to life as hundreds of thousands of Komen Race for the Cure^® participants make I AM THE CURE^® their rallying cry on Race day.
