Go Passionately Pink to help save lives! — Just wear pink, have fun and raise money to fight breast cancer. Be inspired by the multitude of ideas right here, or think of your own. There are so many creative ways to have fun and fight breast cancer.
2nd Annual Breast Ride - May 16th
Women from various communities will ride their motorcycle on a 1500 mile quest to help spread awareness about breast cancer. There will be 4 riders from the Lubbock area! The riders will arrive at Wild West Harley Davidson on May 16th at 5:00pm.
Friend-to-Friend & Breast Cancer Education - June 9th in Littlefield, Texas

Training Ground - July 9th – September 24th
Training Ground will host their 2nd Annual Couch to 5K program, preparing runners for the Lubbock Area Race for the Cure. This 12 week program costs $60, with $10 of each registration coming back to Komen Lubbock!
GatorFest - September 2nd
GatorFest is an annual concert hosted by Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity (ATO). The event is held to provide musical entertainment to Texas Tech college students, residents of Lubbock and visitors for the Texas Tech football games. It takes place on the street so anyone can join. Tickets can be purchased from ATO members, Select-A-Seat or at the gate on event day, with $2 of each ticket sold coming back to Komen Lubbock! This year, there will be 3-4 bands. The event begins at 7:00pm and will take place between University and Main Street.

We Think Pink – October 4th Lights, Camera, Cure! We Think Pink on October 4th will be a day-long event at the Lubbock Civic Center with shopping, a luncheon, vendor expo and much more! Tickets for We Think Pink may be purchased at the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal at 806-766-2167. Don't miss this exciting event spotlighting local survivors and benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure Lubbock.
Catwalk for the Cure - October 18th Komen Lubbock's Youth Committee will host Catwalk for the Cure at the Frazior Pavilion on October 18th at 6:00pm. Admission is free! Catwalk for the Cure is a male style show competition and style show for Texas Tech students. Doctors Candy Arentz and Catherine Ronaghan will emcee the event and help judge our models! Think Pink Go Red– October 29th Texas Tech fans will trade in their red and black for pink at Think Pink Go Red on Saturday, October 29th as the Texas Tech Red Raiders take on Iowa State! Red Raider fans will take on Iowa State and spread the message of early detection! Be sure to visit the Komen tailgate area in front of the Frazier Pavilion before the game for pink koozies and breast health information.
Hallelujah for the Cure - October 30th A proclamation of hope! Early detection is the key to survival! Some women in our community are less likely to receive breast cancer screenings. Lack of screening can lead to later diagnosis, fewer treatment options and even higher mortality rates. Help us educate our community about the importance of early detection through music and worship at Hallelujah for the Cure at the Lubbock Civic Center. Tickets are free and may be picked up at Komen.
