Survivor Spotlights

We Think Pink

We Think Pink in Lubbock began as a collaboration between the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal and the Lubbock Area Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.    Each day in October, the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal is filled with pink survivor or co-survivors stories to celebrate those who have battled breast cancer and to spread breast cancer awareness.

Survivors and co-survivors of all ages, backgrounds, races and stages shared their breast cancer survival stories with the men and women of the South Plains.  Each author described their story in their own words; guidelines and instructions were not provided so that stories were unique.

We Think Pink in Lubbock continues to be a time to learn, a time to celebrate and a time to remember all of those who have been faced with this disease.  The following stories are provided by the Lubbock Area Affiliate and the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal in an effort to give women recently diagnosed with breast cancer hope and insight into the battle against this disease.
